The Great Wing Debate: Ranch vs. Blue Cheese

With Hudson Valley Wing Wars just over 2 weeks away it's time to settle this very serious debate when it comes to wings...

Ranch or Blue Cheese?

I have a confession to make, and I don't think i'm alone here.  For many years the thought of blue cheese was pretty disgusting to me, but one day I was enjoying some pretty spicy wings with some friends and it was the only dressing available so I gave it a try - talk about a game changer.

In my opinion it doesn't get much better than taking on a plate of your favorite flavored wings, fingers covered in sauce, with a perfectly chilled side of blue cheese.  It's just a perfect pairing, along the same lines as peanut butter and jelly, it just makes sense.

I'm sure there are plenty of people reading this with absolute disgust on their faces, as they are team ranch all the way.  Now, let me say i'm not anti-ranch whatsoever, but if given the choice i'm most definitely asking for the blue cheese.

Grubhub took to twitter a little over a year ago looking to settle the debate:

Since we’re always game for a healthy food debate…we posed the question: what’s your primo pick for wing dip? In this corner, we have creamy, tangy ranch…and in the other corner, we have chunky, bold blue cheese dressing.

So…who won the fight? On Twitter, it was 59% in favor of ranch and 41% in favor of blue. OK — we see you, ranch lovers.
