Another Hudson Valley supermarket is opening their doors earlier for senior shoppers.

With the spread of COVID-19 around the Hudson Valley and the world supermarkets are seeing a surge of customers and are running out of essential products as quickly as they are stocking them.

Many stores are changing their store hours to give the employees enough time to restock and disinfect. They are also adding special hours for specific shoppers.

On Monday March 16th, DeCicco's and Son's in Brewster announced that from 8am until 8:30am they will have the store open for their senior customers (65+) and immunocompromised families.

Stop and Shop stores took to their Facebook page to announce a similar schedule. Starting on March 19th "all Stop & Shop stores will open earlier (daily from 6:00AM-7:30AM) to serve customers who are age 60 and over only."

Stop and Shop stores will then be opened from 7:30a.m. to 8:00p.m. to the general public.
