Original story

Winter Storm Riley is not being kind at all. After a morning of school closings, reports of accidents, trees down and over 60,000 Hudson Valley residents without power, it isn't done yet.

Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek has declared a State of Emergency for Sullivan County in effect until 12:00 AM Saturday, March 3 due to significant impacts from the ongoing nor’easter.

This means that all non-essential travel on all County and local roads is prohibited with the exception of vehicles engaged in road maintenance, and those considered essential personnel such as medical and healthcare personnel and public employees designated as such.

There are also several Sullivan County Routes closed at the time of this writing; 12 and 13 (Route 55 between Eldred and White Lake), 21 and 22 (Barryville and Yulan), 26 (Crystal Lake Road), 32 (between Glen Spey and Eldred), 71 (Ferndale) and NYS Route 97 (between Narrowsburg and the Orange County line near Port Jervis).
