EAST FISHKILL - Rose M. Engheben, 93, an area resident for 9 years and formerly of Yonkers, died on February 3, 2018 at her home.

Born in Elmsford on January 5, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa Leone. Rose had been employed as a Senior Clerk with the Yonkers Public Schools. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction and she loved spending time with her family.

On August 28, 1948 at Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford, Rose married Walter Engheben who predeceased her in 1990. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Garofalo, and Joanne Crysler and her husband Frenchy; her grandchildren, Stephen Engheben, Dan and Jenn Engheben, Anthony and Robyn Garofalo, and Vincent and Laura Garofalo, Jaime and Joe Politi, Jessie and Mike Gordon, Corey, Josh, Alex, Tyler, Riley and Chloe Crysler; and her great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Matthew, Alanna, John, Stella and Mya. In addition to her husband, Rose was also predeceased by her son, Stephen Engheben, in 2007.

The family would like to thank Ingrid, Madge and Loris for caring for their mom during the last 8 years.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
