A 77-year old Ulster County man's BAC was more than twice the legal limit.

On July 23 at approximately 10:09 p.m. Saugerties Police responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Sparling Road in the Town of Saugerties.

An investigation established that James Every, 77 of Saugerties had driven his vehicle off the roadway crashing into a telephone pole.

Officer also determined that Every had been drinking alcohol prior to operating his vehicle. Every was taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing.

He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Every submitted to a breathe test and his BAC was .17%. Every was issued tickets and released to a third party with future court proceedings.
