Police: Hudson Valley Woman Stole Employer’s Identity
An Orange County woman has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after she allegedly stole her former employer's identity.
If you're trying to get back at a former employer, you probably shouldn't open a credit card in their name and charge over $20,000 in unauthorized transactions. Unless you like the meals they serve in jail, of course.
Lisa B Rollo, 34, of Washingtonville was arrested and charge with grand larceny in the third-degree, and identity theft in the first-degree, both felonies, New York State Police said in a press release.
An investigation revealed that Rollo stole the identity of her former employer, BBG&G Advertising, and allegedly opened a Capital One Credit Card in their name. Unauthorized transactions totaling over $20,000 were made on that card, according to the press release.
Rollo was arraigned in Washingtonville Court and sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
