In two separate cases, State Police charged people Thursday with stealing over $1,000 in Orange County in 2015.

On Thursday, New York State Police at Monroe arrested a 16-year-old boy from Fort Montgomery for grand larceny. Police say that on that  Oct. 8, 2015, he stole more than $1,400 in merchandise from Walmart in Monroe.

Because of his age, police have not identified him. The Orange County 16-year-old was released on an appearance ticket with a return date of Jan. 25 in the Town of Monroe Court.

Also on Thursday, New York State Police at Monroe arrested 45-year-old, Lisa T. Jerome, 45, of Plattekill on a larceny charge. Police allege on July 10, 2015 she stole $1,850 by having someone cash a fraudulent check in the Town of Goshen.

Jerome was released on an appearance ticket after posting $200 bail. She is due in Town of Goshen Court on Feb. 17.
