Following a nearly four week investigation, an Orange County man was arrested for allegedly stealing from two Sullivan County victims.

On Oct. 5, New York State Police at Wurtsboro responded to a Sullivan County 911 call from two victims that claimed their personal property was stolen by 26-year-old John P. Donghia of Pine Bush. The burglaries are alleged to have occurred at a place on Burlingham Road in the Town of Mamakating.

An arrest warrant was issued for Donghia. Weeks later, on Sunday, he was found in the Town of Crawford by Town of Crawford. Donghia was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the State Police.

Donghia was charged with third-degree robbery, a class D felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $15,000 cash or bail bond. He’s due to return to court on Nov. 1.

In another local county, a man is accused of stealing a $4,000 bike and police are looking for two men who stole from five businesses at the Galleria at Crystal Run.
