Novella “NoNo” McNair, of Newburgh, a retired machine operator for the U.S. Mint at West Point and a 42 year resident of the area, entered into rest on Sunday, September 18, 2016. She was 68.

The daughter of the late Samuel and Laura (Shaw) Troy, she was born May 12, 1948 in Welches Creek, Columbus, North Carolina.

NoNo leaves to cherish his memories her children: Teresa McNair of Newburgh, William L. McNair, Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Charlotte, NC, Leangel R. Turner of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Tamesha Lewis of Newburgh and Gerard T. Lewis, Jr. of Newburgh; her grandchildren, Jacquinta, Jason, Nicole, Shayna, Adriana, Jeannette, Mariah, Maxwell, Brandon, Shekina, Messiah, and Colin; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, James A. Troy of Newburgh, Elonzo Troy and his wife, Lucille of Newport News, VA, Derotha Troy of Newburgh and Narcissa Mooney and her husband Don of San Antonio, TX; her very special friend, William L. McNair, Sr and a host of nieces and nephews as well as a host of great nieces and nephews and a host of family, friends and coworkers.

In addition to her parents, Samuel and Laura, NoNo is predeceased by her daughter, Caroline McNair, her brothers, Samuel Troy, Jr and Frank Troy, her sisters, MaryAnn Troy, Catherine Hinson and AddieMae Shipman.

Visitation will be held from 11-12 pm on Saturday, September 24 at Heaven Bound Church Of Deliverance, 186 Washington Street, Newburgh. Funeral Services will follow at 12pm.  Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
