Norman R. Waldron, a Beacon Resident, Dies at 78
BEACON – Norman R. Waldron, a local area resident, died on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the James J. Peters V.A. Medical Center in the Bronx. He was 78.
Son of the late Howard and Hannah (Anderson) Waldron, he was born in Cold Spring on February 5, 1939. In 1956, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served his country proudly. He was honorably discharged from service in 1961.
Norman worked in the programming department for I.B.M. at their East Fishkill facility. He retired in 1993 after 33 years with the company. He was a parishioner of St. John – St. Joachim Parish in Beacon.
On July 10, 1960, he married Carolyn Ciancio in Cold Spring. His wife predeceased him on April 6, 1996.
He is survived by his son, Todd Waldron & his wife Christine of Hopewell Junction; his daughter, Michelle Waldron Henderson & her husband William of Beacon. He is also survived by his granddaughters whom he loves and cherishes - Emma, Madison, and Lily. He is also survived by his sisters, Anita DeGelormo and Cindi Baxter; brother, James Waldron; and his many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. He will always remain in their hearts and be fondly remembered.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Cold Spring Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife.
