
Newburgh Shooting Leaves Two in Critical Condition, Police Say
During the early hours of the morning Thursday, several gunshots were reported leaving two in critical condition.
On December 19th, at approximately 02:30 a.m., the City of Newburgh Police Department received a ‘Shot Spotter’ notification of several gunshots in the area of 45 City Terrace.
Upon arrival officer’s located City of Newburgh resident Tykeith Stevenson, age 31, who sustained several gunshot wounds. He was brought to St. Luke’s Hospital by ambulance and was uncooperative with investigators. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
While officers were on scene attending Mr. Stevenson, City of Newburgh dispatch received a phone call from St. Luke’s E.R. of another gunshot victim. Upon arrival officers located City of Newburgh resident Kyle Davis, age 27, who had sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest.
Davis was uncooperative with investigators. He is listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is being handled by the City of Newburgh Detectives and the Non-Fatal Shooting task force.
