The Mohonk Preseve in New Paltz invites you to be part of an event they are hosting called Winter Unhuggables. It is a cute name for a very helpful presentation. Join Christy Belardo, the Mohonk Preserve Education Coordinator on Saturday January 18th starting at 10 AM at the Mohonk Preserve Visitor Center to learn about the remarkable roles animals like Bears, porcupines, opossums and owls play in our community.
These animals often look cute and cuddly but you probably don't want to hug any of them. However they all play an important part in the balance of nature in the Hudson Valley. You are invited to learn about the remarkable roles these animals play in the balance of nature and explore their wondrous adaptations in the winter season. Children ages 5 and up are welcome. Children must always be accompanied by an adult. This is an indoor program with brief outdoor activity if weather permits. No registration required and the program is free.
