The historic Mohonk Mountain House has been welcoming visitors from the Hudson Valley and beyond for generations. This weekend they celebrate 150 years of being a part of the community with an anniversary reception and celebration, hikes, tours and outdoor bonfire.

In 1869, Albert Smiley purchased 300 acres and a small inn that would grow to become a Hudson Valley staple. The resort has undergone exponential growth since its inception going from 10 rooms to more than 259 and from 300 acres to more than 1,300.

The current generation of the Smiley family continues to run the resort and will be hosting many of the weekend's festivities and outdoor experiences themselves. For a look at the full schedule of events, you can visit their website. Call (888) 447-9580 to make a reservation, availability is limited.

Additional celebrations are planned throughout the year, April 5-7th is Brewmasters Weekend, Summer recognition is June 28-30th and Autumn features Mohonk Consultations 150th Peace Conference November 1-3rd.
