Oniontown is making the news again. (And no, it's not part two to The Legend of Oniontown.)

The Legend of Oniontown is most likely just legend and rumor, however this news story is true and more along the lines of growing illegal substances. On Friday, Sept. 23, the New York State Police were investigating a separate matter when they saw something on an Oniontown resident's property that caught their eye.

That something happened to be 14 full grown marijuana plants allegedly growing on George Anderson's property. Anderson, 55, of Dover Plains was arrested for unlawful growing of cannabis and criminal possession of marijuana which are Class A & B misdemeanors.
