The Italian cafe in downtown Wappingers is doing what they can to help make sure kids get a nutritious meal for the next two weeks.

There are a lot of children in Hudson Valley elementary schools and high schools alike that rely on getting their nutrition from school lunches. With the latest closings announced throughout the area due to the corona virus many parents may struggle to provide a square meal for their kids.

According to Mamma Musetti's Instagram page, they will be offering free bagged lunches for kids who need it for the next two weeks. They ask that you private message ahead of time to reserve a lunch.

"We have 3 children at home and understand the hardships parents go through when something like this happens. We want to help. Feeding people is what we do. It truly takes a village."

Mamma Musetti's is located 2649 E Main St, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.

There are a few other Hudson Valley locations who are offering a similar service. Publick House 23, Sinapi's and Queen City Tattoo will be giving lunches away as well.
