Kevin F. Weir, a Wurtsboro Resident, Dies at 62
Kevin F. Weir, of Wurtsboro NY, entered into eternal rest on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Castle Point Veterans Hospital, he was 62. The son of Marilyn Weir Reagle and the late George Weir, Kevin was born on June 27, 1955.
Kevin proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a mechanic and worked with Empire Forklift in the Hudson Valley until the day he retired.
Kevin was a hard worker, but when he was given the time to unwind, he loved nothing more than being in the outdoors. His favorite activities were fishing, camping and hiking, he was widely known for being an outdoorsman. The one thing Kevin loved more than being in the outdoors was being a loving father and a proud grandfather.
Kevin is survived by his three children, daughters Sara Weir of New Windsor and Lauren Weir Walden, Son Derek and his wife Tara Weir of Cuddebackville; grandchildren, Adrianna, Thomas, Gianna, Giovanni, Janaya and Brooklyn; his sister Georgette of Poughkeepsie, NY; brothers, Brett of Brooklyn NY, Dennis of Manhattan NY, Patrick of Hyde Park NY, and Gary of Rock Tavern NY; and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held with family at a later date. Memorial donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to Castle Point Hospice Fund, 41 Castle Point Rd Wappingers Falls, NY 12590, with checks payable to VA Hudson Valley Castle Point.
