A new class action lawsuit is shedding light on the devastating impact of COVID-19 on nursing home residents and the families they left behind.

Sean Newman, a Nassau resident who lost both of his parents to COVID-19, has filed a lawsuit in Brooklyn Federal Court, represented by attorneys Jonna Spilbor and Michael Kasanoff, who are also representing Dan Arbeeny in a similar lawsuit, according to the New York Post.

The lawsuit focuses on the state order that initially required nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients, a decision that had severe consequences for vulnerable residents. Although the order was later reversed, the damage had already been done, affecting thousands of nursing home patients at the onset of the pandemic.

If you lost a loved one to COVID-19 while they were residing in a nursing home in 2020, you may be able to join the lawsuit and receive compensation for your loss. Time is of the essence. To learn more, visit jonnaspilbor.com or call 845-485-2529.

For nearly two decades, Jonna Spilbor has offered legal perspective on numerous national television and radio talk shows with Fox News, News Nation, the Law & Crime network, and more. Now, this class action lawsuit is attracting its own media attention. You can read more here:
