A&W Wants Your Valentine’s Day to be O-Fish-ial New York

I should start this information with I didn't believe it either but it is real. A & W Restaurants has come up with a one-of-a-kind whacky idea for Valentine's Day. They are hoping you want to make it O-fish-ial on Valentine's Day with their diamond ring.

You are probably aware that these days you can make diamonds out of many different materials. People have necklaces made of beloved pets who have moved on and I have heard of people having their loved ones' ashes turn into gems as well, but a fast food sandwich? This could be a first.

A & W Restaurant Diamond Giveaway for Valentine's Day

It appears that A & W Restaurants famous for root beer and food are going to give away a diamond ring along with some other jewelry made from their Quarter Pound Cod sandwich. They are calling the line The Cod Collection.

They want to make someone's Valentine's Day dreams come true by giving them a diamond ring crafted from an A & W Sandwich. They teamed up with LifeGem in a partnership with Timeless Treasures of KY to make a line of one-of-a-kind jewelry which includes a diamond ring, a necklace, a pair of earrings reportedly made from a root beer float, and lastly a beaded bracelet.

It took multiple cod sandwiches to create the line of jewelry. Some pieces are made from the cod, and others are made from the bun and toppings. Once the carbon was extracted from the cremated remains of the sandwich the material was put in a machine that mimics how a diamond is made in nature and tada a Cod Fish Sandwich Diamond is born.

A & W plans to give this rootbeer-colored diamond along with the other jewelry away to their loyal customers through a random drawing that they are holding online. You have to fill out an O-Fish-ial Entry Form to be eligible the drawing will be on February 14th, 2024, Valentine's Day.

If you are wondering, of course, I filed out an entry. It's as far as I know the only diamond made from a fast food sandwich who doesn't want to win that prize.
