Adored Hudson Valley School Surprisingly Closing For Good

One Hudson Valley community is very saddened by the surprising news.

Preschool is a very important time for not only a child but their family as well. This is a BIG step and this is really the first school experience for a child and their parents. Picking which preschool your child is going to is a very important choice (it can be very stressful), many families send all their children to the same school if they have a good experience and the whole family is usually very connected to one.

That's why whenever a big announcement like this comes out it's always surprising and saddens the families who have had children who attended the school and wanted their other children to attend as well.

What school will be closing down in Pawling, New York?

Sadly, Sunshine School on 2 Dutcher Avenue in Pawling is closing its doors for good and will not be opening up for the school year.

However, the school has had an amazing run and has been open for 50 years. YES, 50 YEARS SERVING THE COMMUNITY. Their Facebook post explained that it was a very difficult decision to make, but they believe it is the right one.

How is the Pawling community reacting to the news?

The most amazing part of this incredibly sad announcement is seeing all the beautiful and kind comments people left about Sunshine School. You can really tell how much the school has meant to everyone and how it will be truly missed.
