Hudson Valley Distillery Marks 10th Anniversary
If you pause and wonder why you haven't been to Tuthilltown Distillery yet, well, you obviously are not a whiskey fan or a hand crafted spirits fan. What started as a way around a zoning law 12 plus years ago is a hidden gem in Gardiner known as Tuthilltown Distillery, the Home of Hudson Whiskey.

When Ralph Erenzo originally purchased the property for what is now the world famous distillery, his goal was to set up lodging for hikers who were traveling from great distances to hike the Shawangunk Mountains and its many trails. What actually ended up happening (because of a zoning issue with local residents and the town) was a world class distillery that has produced whiskies that are featured world wide.
If you are looking for a cool thing to do with your friends and or family, or a group be it a bachelor or work party, look into a trip to the distillery for a tour and tasting. Then plan to hang out on the grounds for a bit. Sit by a fire pit, check out the streams or even visit with one of the two distillery cats, Bourbon & Rye.
This is definitly should be on one of your personal top 10 lists of "Where to Bring Your Friends When They Visit the Hudson Valley." While you are in Gardiner, see if you can sneak a visit into Gardiner Liquid Mercantile as well.
