If you're still unsure how long six feet is, here are some everyday objects that you can reference.

There are federal and state guidelines in place right now for people in New York to socially distance from others. This is to stop the spread of COVID-19. I don't know about you, but it's kind of hard to visualize what 6 feet look like. Most people don't know what six feet looks like. Obviously, it's better to be safe than sorry, so if you can go over six feet apart, great. But if you're limited to that six feet for socially distancing, try to think of these common items for reference for what six feet looks like.

According to BlueBulb Projects, a refrigerator is about six feet tall. A bed/mattress are also about 6 feet long. To get a little more technical, six feet is about the length of five bowling pins. CNN reports that six feet is also the approximate length of two golden retrievers standing nose to tail. The average dining room table is six feet long. A couch is too.

Happy social distancing!
