Grants Available for Hudson Valley Artists

Art plays an important part in our lives. Whether you are hanging that first masterpiece from your child or grandchild on the fridge, being moved by a piece displayed in a gallery or museum, or even picking up a paintbrush, pen, or pencil yourself, it can add beauty and meaning to your life.

Art can also add a lot to a community. It can brighten a space, inspire a neighborhood, or even increase property values. Funding for such large scale projects can be tough though, but here's some good news.

Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus announced this week that applications are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 County Executive Arts, Heritage and Tourism Grants Program. A grant recipient could receive up to $5000 for performances, events, displays, workshops, and more that promote tourism in Orange County. They can be artistic, cultural, or historic.
