Frank S. Copit, Jr., an Lifelong Area Resident, Dies at 43

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Frank S. Copit, Jr., 43, a lifelong area resident, died on September 2, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Frank was born on March 18, 1974 in Peekskill. He was a 1993 graduate of John Jay High School and attended Marist College. Frank proudly served in the US Air Force from 1993 – 1997. He had been employed by Metro North Railroad in White Plains as a Track Foreman for the past 18 years.

On November 16, 2012 in Wappingers Falls, Frank married Paola (Temoche) Copit who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughters, Kara Danielle Copit and Kaley Morgan Copit; his mother, Linda R. (Botscheller) Knapp of Beacon; his father, Frank S. Copit, Sr. of Cold Spring; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 – 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be held at 7pm at the funeral home followed by military honors. Burial will be on Friday at 11 am at Wappingers Rural Cemetery.
