Frank (F.N.) Fredericks, of Beacon, entered into rest Friday, May 12, 2017 at his home. He was 92.
Born October 3, 1924, in Beacon, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Pennachio Fredericks. Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served his country in the Second World War, and a retired New York State Corrections Officer. He enjoyed his time on the golf course and especially his trips to Myrtle Beach, SC. Frank spent several years as a professional at the Powelton Golf Club in Newburgh and was a member of the Southern Dutchess Golf Course in Beacon. Frank was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill, NY.
In addition to his wife (Patricia) Ann Fredericks, who survives him at home, survivors include: four children, Robert Fredericks, Janine (Bill) Atwell, John (Ellen) Anderson, Patricia (Charlie) Strong; four grandchildren, Tabitha (Christopher) Fields, Meghan Anderson, Kathleen Anderson and John (Sara) Anderson; five great grandchildren, Edward Fields, Alexis Fields, Liam Fields, Genevieve Anderson and Claire Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Vincent R. Fredericks, sisters Anna Genco and Maria Powers, and granddaughter Stephanie Atwell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Internment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY.
