PBS will debut an episode of Treasures of New York this week titled "Rails-to-Trails" that will feature the popular pedestrian bridge. According to a description of the show on Thirteen's website, "Rails-to-Trails" will feature the different rail trails scattered throughout New York State.

Several repurposed railways such as Manhattan's High Line and the Walkway of the Hudson will be showcased. Viewers will also be able to learn about the planned Queensway. Residents of Queens are leading an effort to transform an old, abandoned railway into a greenway and park. Inspired by projects such as the Walkway Over the Hudson, community members hope to give new life to the 3.5 mile stretch of tracks.

A preview of the episode has been released by PBS.

The episode will debut this Thursday, May 18, at 8pm on WLIW 21. It will re-air on Sunday, May 21 at 7pm on Thirteen.
