Frank Anthony Cannova, of Newburgh, a Master Mason and owner of Cannova Construction and a life-time resident of Newburgh, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home. He was 56.

The son of the late Mario and Angela (LaLumia) Cannova, Frank was born on October 3, 1961 in Newburgh. He was a graduate of NFA.

Frank is survived by his children Gina Cannova of Newburgh, and her mother Lynne Karrick; his sons Franki and Anthony Cannova of Long Island, Coltin and Kyle Flores of Newburgh, and their mother Judi Flores; grandchildren, Josiah Santana and Logan Flores; his sisters, Josie Citta and husband Sal of Massachusetts, Frances Oddo and her husband Ron of South Carolina, and Angie Cannova of Newburgh; nephews, Steven Citta and family, Timothy Citta and Nickolas Oddo. Surviving him are also cousins, Nick Scaglione, Elizabeth Warren, and Patricia Tarsio, all of Newburgh, and Marianne Robinson of Michigan. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Mario and Angela Cannova.

Frank was larger than life, and his booming voice would fill a room. His generosity knew no bounds; he was willing to give away the shirt off his back. At every turn he would meet up with a friend, old or new, and made all of them feel special.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8PM, Monday, January 22 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
