The FBI raided over 20 Hudson Valley schools in an attempt to see if the schools misused millions of dollars of federal money.

Federal agents seized document showing how much money Jewish schools in Ramapo, Monsey, and Armont received from the government’s E-Rate program to buy computers or computer equipment. And what the money may have been really used for.

Search warrants were used to see if any individual or business allegedly took millions of dollars that were reserved for technology in schools.

The E-rate program helps schools and libraries obtain affordable telecommunications services and internet access. According to ABC 7, many Orthodox Schools, like the ones being raided in Rockland County, don’t use computers and shun technology.

The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
