Edward ”Butch” Robert Clark, a Kingston Resident, Dies at 72
Edward ''Butch'' Robert Clark, 72, of Kingston, NY, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 13, 1944 in Kingston, to the late Gordon and Catherine (Snyder) Clark. He was the husband of Janis (Helmer) Clark.
Butch was a graduate Kingston High School, Class of 1963. He was self employed as a contractor until his retirement. Prior to that he operated Ulster County Septic Services, worked for National Micronetics, and IBM. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a 20 year member of the Port Ewen Fire Department. Butch enjoyed hunting and fishing, but more than anything he enjoyed spending time at his camp in the Adirondacks.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Edward R. Clark, Jr. and his wife Tanya of Kingston, Thomas S. Clark and his wife Tara of Stone Ridge, grandchildren, Bradley, Thomas, Aili, and Jessa Clark, a sister, Elaine Hamilton and her husband Steve, brother-in-law Bill Helmer and his wife Marsha, Hertha Clark the mother of his children, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston. A memorial service will take place on May 7 at St. James UMC, Kingston at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. James UMC, (Bldgs. & Grounds Fund), 29 Pearl Street, Kingston, NY 12401.
