Health officials confirmed someone with COVID-19 was inside three Orange County schools.

On Tuesday, the Newburgh Enlarged City School District was told by the Orange County Department of Health someone who is regularly inside the Newburgh Free Academy North Campus tested positive for COVID-19. March 11 is the last known date this individual was present at the school, officials say.

Anyone who was in NFA North Campus on Wednesday, March 11, and is symptomatic, should contact their healthcare provider, Newburgh Enlarged City School District Superintendent Roberto Padilla told students, families and employees.

Also on Tuesday, the Orange County Department of Health told school officials in Cornwall a district employee from Cornwall Central High School tested positive for COVID-19.

"Based on the information provided, we believe that March 11 was the only date this individual was present at the high school and to our knowledge, this employee had very limited contact with staff and not contact with students," Cornwall Central School District Superintendent Neil Miler said.

On Sunday, Enlarged City School District of Middletown Superintendent of Schools Richard Del Moro announced he was contacted by the Orange County Department of Health and told someone who's regularly inside Middletown High School has been infected by the COVID-19 virus.
