Bruce W. Nott Sr., A New Windsor Resident, Dies at 86
Bruce W. Nott Sr. of New Windsor, a retired self-employed carpenter/builder for Howard O. Nott & Sons General Contractors entered into rest Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He was 86.
Son of the late Howard and Rose (Hunter) Nott, Bruce was born August 2, 1930 in Newburgh. He married Marie A. (Monroe) Nott November 26, 1950 in Cold Spring.
Bruce was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, F&A Masons, volunteered at the New Windsor Cantonment and was an avid golfer and bowler. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Corps. Engineers during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his wife, Marie at home, he is survived by sons; Bruce W. Nott Jr. and wife, Kathleen of Newburgh, Robert Nott of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Gregg Nott and wife, Eileen of Lagrangeville; daughter, Nancy Sarvis and husband, William of New Windsor, grandchildren: Christina Marks and husband, Lenny, Courtney Sarvis, Billy Sarvis , Elyssa Nott and Danielle Nott; great-grandchildren, Owen and Avery Marks; as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his sister, Carol Case and brother, Howard Nott Jr.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, February 17th from 10 a.m. to Noon at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd., (Rte 32) Newburgh.
Funeral service will commence at Noon following visitation at the funeral home. Pastor Jeffrey Hooker will officiate. Private Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
