Best Hudson Valley Locations To See Bald Eagles

The Hudson Valley is known for its scenic views. Especially those of the feathered variety.

It's the perfect time of year to bird watch in the Valley. If you've been on social media at all, you'll see some of your friends posting beautiful pictures of bald eagles.

The Department of Environmental Conservation says that this time of year is perfect to spot eagles around the Hudson Valley. According to the DEC, "Wintering eagles arrive in December with concentrations peaking in January and February. Eagles are most active between 7am to 9am and 4 pm to 5 pm."

With that being said there are some great spots to catch an eagle fly by. The DEC suggests visiting Mills Norrie State Park in Staatsburgh, Constitution Island in Cold Spring and Charles Point in Peekskill.

Don't forget about the eagle's nest at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers.
