Agnes M. Vandermark, a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 99

Agnes M. Vandermark, 99, entered into rest Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her home in Newburgh where she spent the last 67 years.

Agnes was born August 7, 1918 and married Len Vandermark in 1940. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Newburgh.

She is survived by her daughter, Ginny Fauci of High Falls, NY; son Ken Vandermark of Randolph, VT; granddaughters Melissa Brown and her partner Julie and son Matt, and Tricia Mendez and her husband Jason and daughter Bianca. She also leaves her sisters Jeanne Sherman and Mary Peel. She was predeceased by her husband, Len, and her brothers, Walter and Francis.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Monday, September 4 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, September 5 at St. Mary’s Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Agnes’ memory may be made to the Nora Cronin Presentation Academy, 69 Bayview Terrace, Newburgh, NY  12550.
