Man Charged With Fleeing Police While Intoxicated
A Redhook man is facing felony charges after fleeing police while intoxicated.
On Aug. 29, State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling on Route 9G at 83 MPH in 55 MPH zone.
When troopers activated the emergency light to initiate a traffic stop, the operator of the vehicle led troopers on a brief chase which ended on Colburn Drive.
The operator of the vehicle, Ryan C. Vogel, age 22, of Red Hook, NY was placed under arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation first-degree (Felony), Unlawful Fleeing of an Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Vogel was issued appearance tickets and traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Redhook Court.
He is due back in court at the end of September.
