3 from Ulster County Charged with Burglary
New York State Police arrested 3 Ulster County men in connection with 15 stolen guns.
On February 23rd, State Police from Kingston received a complaint of 15 stolen long guns that were reported missing from a residence in Ruby. Among the missing guns were shotguns and rifles.
During the investigation, 21-year-old Cody J. Valenti, James McKnight, 26, both of Saugerties, and 22-year-old Cory Necketopoulos, of New Paltz, were interviewed about their possible involvement in the alleged crime. After speaking with police, all three subjects allegedly made admission about their involvement in the incident.
McKnight and Necketopoulos were charged with 2nd-degree burglary, a class C felony. Both were arraigned in Town of Ulster Court and released. Both are due back in court on March 1.
Valenti was charged with 2nd-degree burglary, a class C felony. He was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond.
All of the reported stolen guns were recovered by police.
