William I. “Bill” Miller, An Ellenville Resident, Dies at 76

William I. "Bill" Miller of Ellenville, NY went home to be with the Lord in August 17, 2016. He was 76 years old.

Son of the late Carl and Violet Miller, William was born December 5, 1939 in Hamden, NY.

William was employed by Orange County Community College for 30 years, He retired in 2003. William also served in the Air Force from 1960-1964 stationed at Schilling AFB Salina Kansas. He also served in the US Navy from 1966-1969, and served on the USS Josephus Daniels (DLG-27).

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Judy, at home, Bill is also survived by his son, William P. and his fiancé, Dorian, daughters: Melissa and her husband, James, Laurel and her husband, Robert, Barbara and her husband, Derek, Tina and her husband, Blair, Toni and her husband, Michael. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; Jay, Brittany, Shane, Matthew, Franny, Michael, Jeremey, Hayley, Tadgh and Mason.

Cremation and burial will be private.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Ellenville Hospital, who all went above and beyond to make our family comfortable in our time of grief.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
