Ulster County Woman Offered Undercover Cop Sex For Money

An Ulster County woman is facing prostitution charges after she allegedly offered an undercover cop sex for money.

On Monday, Kingston Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit conducted a street crimes detail on Broadway near Franklin Street. During the detail, 48-year-old Melissa A. Keehner, of Hurley, allegedly approached an undercover detective and offered him sex for money.

Keehner was immediately taken into custody. Authorities say during the booking process she became violent, kicked one officer, and spit on another.

Keehner was charged with prostitution, 2nd-degree obstruction of governmental administration, and 2nd-degree harassment, misdemeanors.

She was arraigned in Kingston City Court and released on her own recognizance.
