Throughout the year many organizations take part in the 22 Push Up Challenge.

The challenge was created for individuals to complete 22 pushups daily for 22 days to raise awareness for Veteran suicide.

New York State Troopers all across the state are taking part this year. On Saturday, May 9th Troopers from Troop K along with soldiers from the National Guard at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, NY completed the challenge.

In their Facebook post, the New York State Police explain that they are doing these push-ups to raise "awareness for the mental health of our Veterans & Law Enforcement across the country."

Troop K is located right off the Salt Point Turnpike in Dutchess County.

You can follow along as the New York State Troopers continue to complete the 22 Push Up Challenge on Facebook and social media.

If you would personally like to take part in the challenge and make a donation you can get more details at the website ActiveHeroes.org/22Pushup
