The City of Poughkeepsie was hit with a quick storm yesterday causing damage and power outages through out the area. One such home located on Willow Ave suffered roof damage when trees began to split and fall onto their property. The roof suffered damage and neighbors fence and car also were affected by the collapsing debris.

Down the street from this incident a Poughkeepsie resident recalls being home at the time of the storm.

"It seemed to only last a few minutes. There was heavy rainfall and high winds causing the rain to come down sideways. I had no idea there were trees falling, we lost power for a minute but was quickly restored." Recalled the resident.

Two dogs were the only occupants in the house at the time of the storm. When their owners came home and saw the damage their first instinct was to check their animals. Both dogs were unharmed and just a little shaken up. But after a few treats and snuggles they were back to their normal selves.
