Sylvio G. Nastasi, A Newburgh Resident, Dies at 88

Sylvio G. Nastasi of the Town of Newburgh, a retired maintenance technician for Castle Point VA and Matewan Correction Facility entered into rest Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. He was 88.

The son of the late Vincenzo J. and Carolina B. Barone, he was born December 22, 1927. Sylvio proudly served his country in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte E. (Moore) Nastasi at home, sister, Millie Colonna; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Sylvio was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

All services are private. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
