Susan Heffron DeMatteis, a Longtime Area Resident, Dies at 43

Susan Heffron DeMatteis, a Real Estate Agent for Better Homes & Gardens/Rand Realty of New Windsor and long-time area resident, entered into rest unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. She was 43.

Daughter of William J. Heffron and the late Eloise (Brutko) Heffron, she was born December 30, 1972 in Rapid City, SD. Her beloved Partner, Peter Hurliman, survives at home.

Susan graduated from Fairport High School and earned her AA Degree from Santa Rosa Junior College.

In addition to her father, William and her partner, Peter, Susan is survived by her adored children, Edward William & Elizabeth Lynn DeMatteis; her sister, Kristin Dursi and her husband, John of Newburgh and her nephew, Benjamin Dursi.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date.
