What is Summerween?

Are we in the middle of summer 2025? Yes. Are we also talking about Halloween 2025? Yes. That's because there's a new holiday that's all the rage: Summerween!

Who doesn't want to celebrate Halloween in the summer?

It's been the talk of the summer for the last few years, but according to The Pioneer Woman website Summerween was first mentioned back in 2012 in a Disney show called Gravity Falls.

In the show, the "people in the fictional town of Gravity Falls decided to celebrate Halloween twice a year because they loved the holiday so much." Over the years the lore of Summerween has expanded a bit.

Many think that Summerween is celebrated after The 4th of July because Halloween is the next big holiday on the calendar that we celebrate in a big way.

There are several ways to celebrate like watching scary movies and getting a head-start on your Halloween and fall decorations.

Very spooky.
