You know it was too good to be true. The nice fall weather wouldn’t last for long. Don’t look for much sunshine the next few days and plan on some wet weather Monday night and part of Tuesday. At the temperatures stay around normal, no big swings temperature wise.

That nice high pressure that has been in control of the Hudson Valley weather has been drifting away and a warm front moving through will touch off some showers Monday afternoon and night. Then a low pressure moves in from the Great Lakes brings a chance of more wet weather. By Wednesday back to some mild and dry air.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Monday: Patchy fog early, then mostly cloudy. High near 71. A chance of showers in the afternoon.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after 10pm. Low around 58.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Then expect showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High near 73.

Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms expected. Low around 62.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, high near 74.
