Ruth Fitzgerald, a Former Washingtonville Resident, Dies at 102

Ruth Fitzgerald, formerly of Washingtonville entered into rest on Sunday, March 36,2017 at the age of 102. Ruth was born on April 18,1914 in N.Y.C. to the late Louis and Fannie Wiesen. She was the widow of the late Al Berkowitz and Louis Fitzgerald. Ruth graduated from Hunter College and became a bookkeeper before retiring. Survivors include her son, Jerald Berkley and his wife Joan, Grandsons, Michael Berkley and his wife Pamela, Mark Berkley and his wife Susan, great-grandchildren, Arielle, Skylar, Sam and Lyle. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 29,2017 at 10:00am at Temple Beth Jacob, 290 North St. Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow in New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, NY.
