Rose Marie Tunno, 83, an area resident since 1992 and formerly of New Rochelle, died on November 30, 2016 at her daughter’s home.

Born in New Rochelle on September 12, 1933, she was the daughter of Carmelo and Mary Peracchio Bartucca. A very talented seamstress, Rose also loved to cook and watch game shows. She was an avid fan of the NY Yankees who taught her son Anthony everything he knows about baseball. More than anything, she adored each and every one of her grandchildren.

On October 5, 1952 at St. Joseph’s Church in New Rochelle, Rose married Anthony C. Tunno who predeceased her on October 24, 1993. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Georgette and Brian Silvers of Hyde Park, Roseanne and Richard Masucci of Wappingers Falls, Pauline and Scott Tucker of Stormville, and Anthony and Anne Tunno of Framingham, MA; her grandchildren, Vanessa and Chris Hayes, Stephanie and Adam Jones, Richard Masucci and fiancé Lauren, Zachary Masucci, Kayla and Elias Orloff, Anthony Tunno, Alyssa Tunno and Joseph Tunno; her great-grandchildren, Noa Hayes, Xavier Hayes, Sawyer Jones, and Matthew Masucci; her siblings, Sandy and Bert Antonecchia, Anna Siller, Marietta Spano and Lorraine Mancuso; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, Rose was predeceased by her beloved and constant canine companion Abby; and her siblings, Catherine Lore, Josephine Bartucca, Barbara Grasso and Peter Bartucca.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, 12/2/16, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 12/3/16, at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
