Rose D’Agostino, A Newburgh Resident, Dies at 91
Rose D'Agostino of Newburgh entered into rest Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was 91.
Daughter of the late John and Sophia (Benevento) Americo, Rose was born October 17, 1925 in the Bronx.
Rose was a member of Club 60 of Newburgh and several singing choruses with a voice like an angel. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and most important loved being with her family.
Survivors include her children; Michael D'Agostino and his wife, Maria of Goshen, Deborah A. D'Agostino and her wife, Debra Raacke of Wallkill and Barbara Leone and her husband, Ralph of Highland Mills, brother-in-law, Sunny Adornetto and sister-in-law, Angie Cangro; eight loving grandchildren; Tonia, Alexa, Asia, Joseph, Raffael, Brian, Stephanie and Irinia, two great-grandchildren, Adrianna Rose and Chase, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Isidore D'Agostino in 1983, sisters: Nettie Schinella and Joan Adornetto.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday, March 2nd from 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32) Newburgh.
A Funeral Mass will be offered 1 p.m., Thursday, March 2nd at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, 433 South Plank Rd. (Route 52), Newburgh.
Private cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial of cremains will take place at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor at a time convenient to the family.
