Red Lobster Biscuits in To-Go Orders Are Not Unlimited

CORRECTION: Red Lobster issued a statement that the biscuits for dine-in guests remain unlimited and that the two biscuits per order policy refers to to-go and delivery meals. Red Lobster issued a statement regarding the false rumors that dine-in biscuits were limited or that the policy was new:

We want to set the record straight. Despite rumors to the contrary, Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits are in fact unlimited for our dine-in guests. Obviously, due to the nature of To Go and delivery orders, there is a limit to how many we include in the bag, which is two per entrée with the option to add more to your order for a small fee.

C'mon...REALLY!

Every morning at 7:50 Jess and I fire up the "Beast", who if you don't know, is our friendly wood chipper friend that we introduced to the Hudson Valley about a month ago. The beast needs to be fed every morning and to feed it, Jess and I search for stories that we feel aren't even worth the paper they are printed on. Once we find them, we tell you about them and the promptly shove them into the beast.

The story that I fed to the beast today really bothered me and if I could shove it into her twice I would.

Have you ever been to the restaurant Red Lobster? If you have you have probably tried their Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I think it is the only reason I ever go and yes I am guilty of filling up on the biscuits and then only ordering an appetizer for dinner, so I am likely responsible for the recent change to their bread rules.

According to Brand Eating, Red Lobster has just announced that they will no longer offer unlimited biscuits with your meal but will give every customer who purchases an entree two biscuits with their meal.

If two isn't enough for you, they will, for an additional charge, be selling additional biscuits by the dozen or half dozen at most restaurants.

I get it, some people like me have taken advantage of the unlimited biscuits but I do think this will affect my decision the next time I get to decided what restaurant I go to with the kids.
