So looking at the movies that have something to do with Poughkeepsie and I came across one that is a horror movie called "The Poughkeepsie Tapes."  The 2007 movie was filmed in a documentary style about a fictional serial killer in Poughkeepsie. According to moviepilot.com, the film starts after the serial killer is murdered, when law enforcement officials stumble across a box of  video tapes that chronicle over 800 of the murderers killings.

The tapes apparently show the murderer killing his victims, planning their murders and disposing of their bodies. The police use these tapes to find out more info on the victims and potentially where they might find their bodies.

According to online sources, the movie was supposed to be released to theaters in February of 2008, with distribution from MGM, but it was removed from release with no apparent reason. The movie went on to a (very) limited on demand release in 2014 and then it had since disappeared.
