So when you need an excuse to get out of the house on a Sunday morning to exercise, does something like being able to enjoy a beer or three work as a motivator to get you moving?

There is a Poughkeepsie Beer Run scheduled for the morning of Sunday June 23, 2019 to kick off at 10am. You can join them for a one mile run or for a 5K. For the one miler, there will be beers at the quarter mile and for the 5K and the end of each mile marker and then the finish line.

The cost of your bib, which is $40 until 6/16 and $48 after includes, according to their website, includes "the run, water, an 'edible medal' and event t-shirt, as well as a 3-beer tasting flight, and a pint of your choosing."

Will beer be your motivator? If you need a jolt of coffee before or after the race, the entire thing kicks off at The Crafted Cup, Raymond Ave in Poughkeepsie. So expect to be surrounded with beer and caffeine enthusiasts.
