If you are like me you are ready to get out and shop for a deal or two. Thrift shops are one for the best places to find great deals. Plus depending on where you shop you may be helping out a great cause. Very often thrifts shops are set up to help support a local organization or group.

I don't know what it is about going into a thrift shop to buy something. It gives me a really great feeling because it combines shopping with the adventure of finding a treasure for a great price. I realize that some of you may just see thrift store as a building full of someone else's unwanted used stuff but you could not be farther from the truth. Remember the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure."

Before you judge thrift shopping you must try it. I encourage you to get out to a variety of thrift stores. Some you may not enjoy but then you will find the one you've been waiting for full of all the stuff you didn't know you needed. I will even help you get started by recommending a great place to start.

Compassion Animal Rescue Efforts of Dutchess County has been able to re-open their thrift store and they have even remodeled. You are bound to enjoy the shopping and if you buy something you'll be helping a good cause. So let's get back out there and thrift.
