Police: Woman Drives On Top Of Large Rock, Later Charged With Drug Possession

A local woman who was found upside down after she allegedly drove her car onto a large rock was later arrested for drug possession.
On Sunday, Town of Kent Police responded to the intersection of Terry Hill Road and Lake Shore Drive for a one car personal injury accident. Arriving officers found a 2008 Hyundai resting on a large rock, with the driver upside down in the passenger seat.
The driver, a 30-year-old from Kent, had cuts to her face and was taked to Danbury Hospital for treatment.
During the investigation of the crash, officials found 28 Alprazolam pills inside the car, police say.
Police went to Danbury and charged her with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and other undisclosed traffic violations.
she was given an appearance ticket to appear in Kent Court on Dec. 7. The accident is still under investigation to determine if more charges are needed, police say.
